Job summary

EQ Care Group is seeking a Clinical Deputy Manager for Cherry Tree Lodge, a forthcoming 80-bed nursing and dementia care home opening in Kidderminster in 2027. You will lead the clinical team, support the home manager, coordinate rotas, leave, training and attend governance activities.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment.
• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance to the home manager that your service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
• Support with the production of action plans against audit findings and ensuring that actions are completed within the specified timescales.
• Represent the Cherry Tree Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care
• Undertake regular supervisions and annual appraisals of all Registered Nurses and Team Leaders ensuring that the team have access to development opportunities

Role Overview

As the Clinical Deputy Manager at Cherry Tree Lodge, you will be a key member of the management team and play an integral part of the home. You will support the home manager, completing team member rotas, annual leave, training allocation and attendance records. You will lead the clinical team, liaise with local authorities, social services and undertake clinical assessments. You will also complete the daily leadership report and attend operational review meetings. You will establish good relationships with people who live in the home, their families, friends, and team members, We ask that you support and advise the team members within the home during working hours as well as during out of hours via on call arrangements. You will also take responsibility for Cherry Tree Lodge during periods of absence of the Home Manager.

Our Household Model has been designed to create a much smaller, more personal community. Rather than People feeling like they are living in a large care home, each household will be home to approximately 9–12 people living together, creating a genuine sense of community, familiarity and belonging. As the Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in bringing this vision to life.
