Job description

We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000. The relocation package is available for anyone who needs to relocate to take up employment with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership. Terms and conditions apply; please see the attached document.

If this applies to you, please state this on your application so we can discuss it with you if you are invited to interview.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our developing CYP Emergency and Urgent care provision. As part of the NHS 5 Year Forward View, CWP has developed crisis response services for CYP.

We are recruiting several clinicians for CWP’s newly formed CYP Urgent Support Team. You will be part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team. Clinicians will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience through the induction process, internal training, CPD, and supervision.

The service operates 24/7, providing crisis mental health assessment and interventions for CYP in various settings, as well as managing the CYP aspect of the trust-wide crisis line. Team members work 11.5-hour shifts.

The service covers the entire CWP footprint with multiple hubs. This post is based in Crewe, but Clinical Coordinators are expected to travel across the CWP area based on clinical activity and service needs.

Please see the Job Description in the Post Advert for details.

Clinical Coordinators play an integral role in the service, with responsibilities including supervision of junior staff, training, service development, and overseeing complex cases and escalations. Although primarily clinical, the role also involves management aspects such as performance management and rostering.

Applicants need to be adaptable, working flexibly to manage incoming unplanned work, leading a team, and supporting junior staff with clinical knowledge.

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care, as well as three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

We employ around 4,500 staff across 73 sites, with services across Wirral, Cheshire, Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton, and Liverpool. We also provide specialist services for the North West.

Our aim is to improve community lives through a compassionate, person-centred approach. We are rated Outstanding for Caring by the Care Quality Commission and have an overall Good rating.

As a Disability Confident Employer, Rainbow Badge Scheme member, Veteran Aware organization, and holder of the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award, we are committed to inclusive recruitment and valuing diversity. We welcome applications from those with direct experience of accessing our services.

We offer up to three weeks of induction through our Prepare to Care programme, designed to equip new starters with the knowledge and guidance to succeed at CWP.

Whether starting your career or seeking to apply your skills in a new role, CWP has something for you.
