An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of our developing CYP Emergency and Urgent care provision. As part of the NHS 5 Year Forward View, CWP has developed crisis response services for CYP.
We are recruiting clinicians to join CWP’s newly formed CYP Urgent Support Team. You will be part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to develop your skills through induction, internal training, CPD, and supervision.
The service operates 24/7 with 11.5-hour shifts, providing crisis mental health assessments and interventions for CYP across various settings, including the CYP aspect of the trust-wide crisis line. The service covers the entire CWP footprint with multiple hubs; this post is based in the Wirral hub, and all Clinical Coordinators are expected to support hubs across the CWP area based on service needs.
Clinical Coordinators play a vital role, supervising junior staff, contributing to training and service development, overseeing complex cases, and managing escalations. The role also includes management responsibilities such as performance management and rostering. Applicants should be adaptable, capable of managing unplanned work flexibly, leading teams, and supporting junior staff with clinical expertise.
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care, as well as services for three GP surgeries in Cheshire. We employ approximately 4,500 staff across 73 sites, with services spanning Wirral, Cheshire, Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton, and Liverpool, including specialist services for the North West.
Our goal is to improve community lives through a compassionate, person-centered approach. We are rated Outstanding for Caring and overall Good by the Care Quality Commission. As a Disability Confident Employer, Rainbow Badge Scheme member, Veteran Aware, and Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award holder, we are committed to inclusive recruitment and valuing diversity, encouraging applications from those with experience of using our services.
We offer up to three weeks of induction through our 'Prepare to Care' program, designed to support new starters. Whether starting your career or seeking to apply your skills in a new role, CWP offers opportunities for growth.
