Job description

Join to apply for the Client Support Coordinator role at Skook Management Consulting

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual has arisen to join our expanding team in Leeds. Our business is growing and we need a self-starting, enthusiastic Client Support Coordinator to develop and deliver a unique, innovative service in a forward-thinking company.

About Us

AskJules was founded in 2010 and is a family owned private limited company who provide a Lifestyle Management service. Our clients are university students who have complex physical disabilities and require 24-hour care whilst living independently in student halls at university and in their own homes during the holidays.

With our support students are able to employ their own Personal Assistants (PAs) to provide their personal, health and social care as well as their academic support at university.

Students and their families choose AskJules because we provide a personal, efficient and comprehensive service; from the recruitment and management of PAs to bank and budget management and everything in-between.

AskJules has grown from its small beginnings to being a recognised alternative way for young disabled adults who are in receipt of Personal Budgets (PB) or Personal Health Budgets (PHB) to live independently and receive the care and support they want.

About The Role

Reporting to the Client Support Manager (North) you will be expected to manage a caseload of 10 - 15 clients attending university in the North of England.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment and induction of new Personal Assistants (PAs).
  • Process onboarding-related administration for new PAs.
  • Organise "client specific" training of PAs.
  • Provide ongoing management and support to both clients and PAs.
  • Organise and manage rotas in line with clients requirements.
  • Record PA availability, absence and leave.
  • Be available by phone out of hours for emergencies.
  • Last minute re-scheduling of shifts to cover PAs sickness and emergencies.
  • Manage weekly timesheets and logs.
  • Update the Client and PA database.
  • Liaise with the Student Services Departments at Universities.
  • Work closely with our Recruitment, HR and Payroll departments.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently on all levels, over the phone, face to face and by email.
  • Visit clients at university during term time and at home during the holidays.
  • Provide excellent levels of customer service at all times.
  • Work as an important member of the AskJules team.

Full on the job training will be provided to the successful applicant as this role is very different from other health or social care industry positions. We work for the client!

About You

The ideal applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Confident, articulate and able to connect with people at all levels.
  • Determined and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • A full UK driving licence and your own transport.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Confident working on the telephone.
  • A problem-solver who always carries a smile on their face and compassion in their hearts.
  • Excellent computer and internet skills with experience of Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to issues competently.
  • To work with minimal direct supervision.
  • A go-getter who can initiate and form lasting relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Hard-working, ambitious, friendly, outgoing and professional.

A Graduate Who Has Experience Of University Life

Experience from within the health or social care industry perhaps working in a domiciliary setting as a Care Coordinator/Clients Relations Manager/Supervisor/Senior Care Worker or similar role would be an advantage. As would experience of working with clients with complex physical healthcare needs.

This position is mainly office based, but you will be required to visit clients and PAs at university and at home during the holidays, therefore a full UK driving license and your own transport is essential.

Benefits

  • Starting salary: £26,000 to £28,000pa.
  • Paid mileage.
  • Staff bonus.
  • Small but fast expanding company offering good prospects - as we grow so can you!
  • 4 weeks Holiday, rising to 5 weeks + Bank Holidays.
  • Friendly informal working environment.

AskJules is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the independence and welfare of disabled adults and young people and expect our staff to share this commitment.

If you are excited by this amazing job opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Please send in a cover letter with your CV. We look forward to hearing from you.
