Job summary

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a Payroll Manager to take ownership of processing for Bureaus and head office teams. You’ll handle onboarding, employee records, benefits and pensions, and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

In this role you’ll process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees, manage changes, ensure HMRC compliance, and reconcile reports in collaboration with Finance. Experience with Sage Payroll and end-to-end client processing is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have sole payroll experience.
• Experience within clients and bureau background.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Experience working end to end dealing with all queries.
• Good communicator with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
• Manage payroll changes including new starters, leavers, and contract amendments.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance for payment approvals.
• Maintain employee records in the Sage Payroll and ensure data accuracy.
• End to end processing for a portfolio of clients.
