Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in London is seeking a chartered Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across a broad range of sectors, including Education, Life Sciences, Commercial, Healthcare, Residential and Heritage. You will act as the single point of contact for project delivery, guiding multi-disciplinary teams, advising on cost plans, and ensuring projects stay on budget.

Ideal candidates will have a RICS-accredited degree (MRICS or working towards), strong client-facing skills, and experience

Qualifications

• Consultancy experience relevant to cost management and quantity surveying.
• RICS accredited degree or equivalent.
• MRICS or actively working towards.
• Experience using JCT suite of contracts.
• Confident in communicating with clients and project teams.
• Experience in pre and post contract QS duties including procurement and tendering.
• Proficient with CostX/Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Holder of UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of projects as single point of contact.
• Lead client meetings with multi-disciplinary teams and project delivery.
• Provide building cost advice at RIBA Stages including feasibility estimates and cost plans.
• Advise on cost implications of methods, materials and sizes to keep within budget.
• Undertake measurement in accordance with defined standards.
• Provide advice on contracts, procurement strategy, risk management and tendering.
• Prepare, issue, evaluate and report on tenders.
• Prepare contract documentation.
• Manage costs during the construction stage and negotiate final accounts.
• Agree monthly valuations and prepare cost reports.
• Value post contract variations.
• Assist with QA compliance and develop client/consultant/contractor relationships.
