Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in the UK is seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to advance their career within our cost management team. You will support senior colleagues in delivering diverse projects across Birmingham and the wider firm, engaging clients and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a RICS-accredited degree, MRICS status preferred or in progress, and experience with JCT contracts and QS duties from pre- to post-contract stages.

Qualifications

• RICS accredited degree or equivalent.
• MRICS status preferred or actively pursuing.
• Experience using JCT contracts.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract QS duties including procurement and tendering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and QS software (CostX, Bluebeam).
• UK driving licence held.

Responsibilities

• Manage and be the single point of contact for day-to-day project delivery.
• Lead client meetings with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provide cost advice at RIBA stages with feasibility, cost plans and pre-tender estimates.
• Advise on construction methods, materials, and value to stay within budget.
• Undertake measurement to defined standards and manage tendering processes.
• Prepare contract documentation and evaluate tenders.
• Manage project costs through construction and settle final accounts.
• Agree monthly valuations and prepare cost reports.
