Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP in Winchester is seeking a senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on major Healthcare, Education, and Residential projects. You will develop cost plans, feasibility studies, and estimates across RIBA stages and utilise digital tools for take-off and estimating.

The role requires MRICS or working towards chartership and a strong track record in cost planning, procurement, and cost management, with the ability to build solid client relationships and guide projects

Qualifications

Relevant degree (RICS accredited), MRICS or working towards chartership.
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Knowledge of construction methodologies and JCT/NEC contracts.
Experience in cost planning, procurement, and cost management.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Healthcare sector experience preferred.
Interest in digital tools such as BIM and CostX.

Responsibilities

Lead cost management from inception to completion on major projects.
Develop cost plans, feasibility studies, and estimates at all RIBA stages.
Utilise digital tools for quantity take-off and estimating.
Evaluate designs for cost efficiency.
Prepare and manage tender documentation and processes.
Advise on contracts and procurement.
Attend meetings, produce financial reports, and manage post-contract cost control.
Build strong client relationships and support Healthcare sector delivery.
Maintain high professional standards.
