Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a personable Receptionist to join our team at Scarsdale, Park Farm on a part-time basis. You’ll be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming, professional experience for clients and their pets.

You will manage appointments, handle enquiries, support client communications, and work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth client and patient journey. Flexible shifts include weekday and Saturday hours.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Scarsdale, Park Farm on a part-time basis.

Pride Veterinary Centre is a leading multi-disciplinary veterinary referral hospital serving as the flagship small animal centre for the Scarsdale Veterinary Group. In addition to supporting the group, we provide specialist referral services to veterinary practices throughout the Midlands and beyond. Our expert team offers advanced care in Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Exotic Animal Medicine, and Dermatology. The hospital operates 24/7, supported by our dedicated on-site 'Vets at Night' team and equipped with a comprehensive range of cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern
  • Flexible between 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday as part of a shared rota. Saturdays as part of a shared rota 8.30am to 1pm.
Key Responsibilities
  • Telephones - Answering calls and dealing with the call in a manner and as per expected standards.
  • Account management - Handling payments and charging for services provided by the practice, making sure all appointments, products and services are paid for and discussion are had with regards insurance.
  • Administration - To include managing client records including up to date contact details for all clients, appointment generation, and face-to-face, telephone and email communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage client expectations - openly and confidently discussing client needs as appropriate to the role, referring to the clinical team as needed.
  • Pro-actively manage appointments and client visits - booking and manging appointments as per protocol.
