Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Chesham is seeking a part-time Receptionist for Wheelhouse Vets to deliver a welcoming, professional experience for clients and their pets. You will manage appointments, handle enquiries, and support both clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a smooth client journey.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, organisation, and a proactive, team-oriented approach within a busy veterinary practice.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Wheelhouse Vets on a part-time basis.

Wheelhouse Veterinary Centre has been caring for small animals in the local community for over 60 years. Owned by inspiring vet care and led by our own in-house management team, we are proud to provide exceptional care to pets and outstanding service to their owners.

Our team shares a genuine passion for animal welfare and client care. As pet owners ourselves, we understand the importance of treating every patient as if they were our own and creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every client who visits us.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern
  • 20 hours per week over 2-3 days - Shifts to cover opening hours of 8am - 7pm and will include 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:15am - 5pm
