Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a part-time Receptionist for Blue House Vets in Biddulph to cover a 6-month fixed term. You will greet clients, answer calls, manage bookings and support a positive client journey in a busy practice.

The role requires 30–40 hours per week with 2–3 Saturdays on a 6-week rota. A calm, friendly, and proactive approach is essential for team success.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Blue House Vets on a part-time fixed term basis covering 6 months.

Blue House Veterinary Centre Blue House Veterinary Centre, part of Inspiring Vet Care is a long-established, single site small animal practice in Biddulph, Staffordshire. A team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Veterinary Nurses, 5 Veterinary Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager make up a friendly/family feel team. We have beautiful, spacious premises with a large staff room equipped with fridge, freezer, coffee, and toasty maker and even a massage chair. We have gardens to enjoy breaks outside, plus a pool table & exercise machine. We pride ourselves on our level of care and have a good reputation locally. How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

• The rota involves working on average 30-40 hours per week, ideally 3/4 full days (this is open for discussion). There will be 2-3 Saturdays (8am-1.30pm) required on a 6-week rota.

Key Responsibilities

This is a busy role where a calm, but friendly and outgoing personality is needed to deal with visitors, telephones, emails, general enquiries, messages, and the occasional emergency sometimes all at once!
