Job description

Forward Thinking Accountancy Practice is currently seeking a Client Accountant to join their Reigate-based team in a client-facing, comprehensive role within this growing general practice.

Position Overview

1. Preparation of company and sole trader financial statements.
2. Being a point of contact for existing clients, offering advice.
3. Handling all aspects of accounting up to and including the production of monthly management accounts.
4. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
5. Preparation of self-assessment returns for directors, self-employed, partnerships, and rental property accounts.
6. Preparation of corporation tax returns.
7. Liaising with clients and offering advice on various matters.
8. Ensuring compliance for clients.

Position Requirements

1. Qualified with ACCA / ACA / QBE will be considered.
2. 3+ years of proven experience in a client-facing role gained within public practice.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all types of clients.
4. Good working knowledge of Excel and Word. Experience with Xero and Taxcalc is preferred but not essential.

Position Remuneration

1. Full-time (possibility of 4 days per week for the right applicant).
2. Hybrid working (1 day in the office).
3. Pension and other benefits to be discussed at interview stage.
