Recruitment Consultant - Specialising in Finance

I have partnered exclusively with a long-established property consultancy operating across London and the home counties, seeking to appoint a Client Accountant to its team.

With a strong client base and an ethos of hands-on partner involvement, the firm leads with its personalised service to long-term clients, making them formidable within the market.

You will be joining an environment that values clear communication and instruction within the team, recognizing this as key to overall client success.

As the successful candidate, you will join a growing Client Accounting Team, managing a portfolio of legacy clients and contributing to financial reporting for new clients.

You need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in liaising with the Property Management Team and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budgets, year-end audit packs, and coordinate with auditors and clients
  • Issue quarterly financial reports and maintain accurate bank reconciliations
  • Manage data transitions, contractor billing, utility recharges, and ground rent accounts
  • Respond to finance queries and ensure lease compliance across the portfolio
  • Maintain accurate system data (e.g., Qube) and track financial progress internally
  • Support pre-sale packs, void account management, and site setup fund reconciliations
  • Assist with compliance under the Building Safety Act and report monthly to line manager

You will have:

  • Previous experience in Client/Property Accounting, ideally within commercial real estate; residential experience can be discussed
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both financial and operational teams
  • Comfortable and proactive in communicating with clients and handling queries professionally and promptly
  • High attention to detail and an organized approach to workload
  • A proactive mindset with ownership of responsibilities
