Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to manage cleaning staff at a designated location and ensure EA standards are met.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of cleaning outside the home environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work NI Order 1978.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods/machinery.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise cleaning staff to ensure EA standards are met, with the supervisor personally undertaking cleaning duties.
• Carry out induction and refresher training for staff in line with EA practice.
• Liaise with the building manager on day-to-day issues related to cleaning.
• Investigate complaints and take corrective action; report plans to the designated line manager.
• Ensure supplies of materials and equipment are adequate and kept within budget.
