PSS group is recruiting a supervisor to lead the cleaning team at our Burgess Hill site. You will manage daily cleaning tasks, ensure high standards, and provide clear handovers to colleagues. Training is provided for machinery and safety procedures, with flexible hours to cover shifts.

The role requires supervision experience and a professional, polite approach, with uniform provided. On-site work in Burgess Hill, RH15 9NP, with potential for varied hours.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaning teams on large sites.
• Able to follow on-site instructions and deliver tasks to plan.

Responsibilities

• Manage cleaning team on site and allocate tasks.
• Complete cleaning tasks within your hours at site.
• Provide clear handovers to colleagues.
• Deliver cleaning standards in line with health and safety requirements.
• Operate machinery training provided (jet wash, scrubber, sweeper).
• Escalate incidents professionally as needed.
• Perform on-site health and safety checks.
• Liaise with sub-contractors, managers and operatives.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
• Keep cleaning cupboards tidy and stocked.

PSS group are a nationwide Soft Facilities Services provider, who work with some of the biggest names in retail, entertainment, facilities management and more.

Location – Market Place, Burgess Hill, RH15 9NP

Salary -£14 per hour

Working Pattern

Monday 0900-1800

Friday 0900-1800

Saturday 07.15-17.45

As a supervisor you would need to be flexible in supporting the site. this could result in working different hours and days to suit.

Main aim will be to carry out a range of cleaning activities; including cleaning high touch points, Deep cleaning, mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying bins, cleaning washrooms and potential use of waste equipment (training provided).

Key responsibilities

• Manage the cleaning team
• complete cleaning tasks within your hours at site
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues.
• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Will be required to use machinery such as jet wash, scrubber dryer, sweeper (training provided)
• Be confident in escalating incidents in a professional manor
• Complete health & safety checks onsite
• Liaise with sub-contractors, managers, and operatives
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Experience in supervision
• Ability to follow instructions.

• Good self-presentation (uniform provided).
