Job summary

Great Heath Academy is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to carry out day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building, ensuring health and safety compliance. You will join a dynamic cleaning team and support the Academy in maintaining high standards across all areas.

Experience in a similar environment and a good standard of literacy and numeracy are desirable. The role is permanent, 12.5 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks, with a start date as soon as possible.

About this Role

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 12.5 hoursper week / 43 weeks per year (Term time only plus 4 weeks) (Monday to Friday 3:30pm- 6:00pm)

Scale: NJC 3

Actual Salary: £7,944 per annum / FTE: £24,795 per annum (pending pay award)

To succeed, you will haveprevious experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods andthe use of equipment. You will have a good standard of literacy andnumeracy and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. Weare keen to secure a positive Cleaning Operative who can make a tellingcontribution to our team. The department is part of a well led, mutuallysupportive cleaning team and the appointed candidate will work collaborativelywith colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Supervisor, and strong SLT.
