Job summary

Mildenhall College Academy is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the academy. The role is term-time, 23.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1:00pm to 5:45pm, with annual actual salary of £14,141 and a full-time equivalent of £25,614.

The successful candidate will join a supportive cleaning team and work under supervision to uphold health and safety standards. DBS checks and safeguarding procedures will be followed as part of the recruitment process.

• Experience in cleaning or similar environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of building and facilities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 23.75 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (Term time only) / Monday to Friday, 1:00pm to 5:45pm.

Scale: NJC 3

Actual Salary: £14,141 per annum / FTE Salary: £25,614 per annum

Mildenhall College Academy are looking to appoint an individual to undertake day to day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities, always ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The successful candidate will join our academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. To succeed, you will have previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment. You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. We are keen to secure a positive Cleaning Operative who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive cleaning team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Supervisor, and strong SLT.
