Job summary

The Hathaway Academy in Grays, Essex is looking for a Cleaning Operative to perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of the school facilities, ensuring health and safety compliance. The role is part-time, 10 hours per week over 44 weeks per year, Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Successful candidate will bring experience in similar environments with basic cleaning methods, literacy and numeracy skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment.
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities, ensuring health & safety compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supported by a Catering Supervisor and senior leadership team to maintain standards.

Actual Salary: £6,915 per annum / FTE Salary: £26,367 per annum

The Hathaway Academy are looking to appoint an individual to undertake day to day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities, always ensuring Health & Safety compliance. To succeed, you will have previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment. You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. We are keen to secure a positive Cleaning Operative who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive cleaning team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Supervisor, and strong SLT.
