Job summary

Great Heath Academy is looking to appoint a part-time Cleaning Operative to support daily cleaning and sanitisation of the academy facilities. Hours are 12.5 per week, term-time plus 4 weeks, Monday to Friday 3:30pm–6:00pm, with a 43-week year.

The role requires previous cleaning experience, good literacy and numeracy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Health & Safety compliance is essential, with DBS checks as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment.
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance in all cleaning activities.

Scale: NJC 3

Actual Salary: £7,944 per annum / FTE: £24,795 per annum (pending pay award)

Great Heath Academy are looking to appoint an individual to undertake day to day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities, always ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive cleaning team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Supervisor, and strong SLT.
