Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Academy in Atherstone is seeking a fixed-term, part-time Cleaning Operative to maintain day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation across the buildings, ensuring health and safety compliance. The successful candidate will join a supportive cleaning team and work with a Catering Supervisor and senior leaders.

We require previous experience in a similar environment, basic cleaning methods, and good literacy and numeracy with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours: 15 hours per week, 43 weeks per year (Term Time plus 4)

NJC Scale: 3

Actual Salary: £9,532 per annum / FTE Salary: £24,795 per annum (pending pay award)

The Queen Elizabeth Academy are looking to appoint a fixed term part time Cleaning Operative to undertake day to day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities, always ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The successful candidate will join our academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. To succeed, you will have previous experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment. You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. We are keen to secure a positive Cleaning Operative who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive cleaning team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Supervisor, and strong SLT.
