Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Cleaning Operative for Churcher's College Junior School in Liphook. The role covers 15 hours per week, 17:00–20:00, Monday to Friday during term time, with on-site parking and full training provided.

Applicants should have cleaning experience and COSHH knowledge to keep classrooms and facilities clean and safe for staff and pupils. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.60 with SPLOY (spread-pay) options and DBS cost covered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role with knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and COSHH.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures and deliver a high standard of cleanliness.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional manner.
• Able to work efficiently, manage time and adapt to changing priorities.
• Reliable, flexible and capable of collaborating with colleagues to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks at the scheduled time following policies, procedures and COSHH.
• Maintain cleanliness across communal areas, classrooms, offices, toilets and changing rooms.
• Empty bins, collect refuse and restock consumables such as soap and toilet tissue.
• Use approved cleaning products and equipment safely and efficiently with training.
• Undertake cleaning duties safely using PPE and hazard signage where needed.
• Clean floors, furnishings, equipment, windows and mirrors to standard.
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests on site when required.
• Be courteous, helpful and provide excellent customer care for staff and pupils.
• Work collaboratively with other cleaning staff to maintain consistent standards.
• Take reasonable steps to minimise loss or damage and maintain a safe environment.
