Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks at scheduled times following policies and COSHH.

• Empty bins and restock consumables such as soap and toilet tissue.
• Use approved cleaning products and equipment safely with training.
• Undertake cleaning duties with PPE and hazard signage as needed.
• Clean floors, furnishings, equipment, windows and mirrors to standard.
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests on site.
• Be courteous and provide excellent customer care for staff and pupils.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to maintain consistent standards.
• Take steps to minimise loss or damage and maintain a safe environment.

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour**

Hours: 15 hours per week

Working Pattern: 5 out of 7 including weekends (week days mostly 7pm - 10pm weekends vary but mostly 4pm - 7pm)

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**

What You’ll Do:

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks at the scheduled time, following all relevant policies, procedures and COSHH requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across communal areas, classrooms, offices, toilets, changing rooms and specialist spaces.
• Empty bins, collect and move refuse, and restock consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissue.
• Use only approved cleaning products, equipment and materials safely and efficiently, in line with training provided.
• Undertake cleaning duties safely, using PPE and hazard signage where appropriate.
• Clean floors, furnishings, equipment, windows and mirrors to the required standard.
• Respond to ad‑hoc cleaning requests on site when required.
• Be courteous, helpful and efficient, ensuring excellent customer care for staff, pupils and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with other cleaning staff to maintain consistent standards across the school.
• Take reasonable steps to minimise loss or damage to property and maintain a safe working environment.
