ABM UK is seeking a Relief Cleaning Operative to support multiple sites in London. The role covers day shifts from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and night shifts from 10:45 pm to 6:45 am, totaling 35 hours per week.

The position requires flexibility to cover day and night shifts and travel between sites. You will perform cleaning duties to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic environments, follow cleaning schedules, and report issues to management.

Role Overview And Purpose

The role currently involves day shifts from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with flexibility to work night shifts from 10:45pm to 6:45am as required. Applicants must be comfortable and willing working both day and night shifts.

To provide high-quality cleaning services across various sites, covering staff absences, holidays, sickness, and additional cleaning requirements. The Relief Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic environments while ensuring company standards and client expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including:
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Cleaning toilets, washrooms, and replenishing consumables
• Cleaning kitchens, staff areas, and communal spaces
• Sanitising touchpoints and high-traffic areas
• Clean 5 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.
• Follow cleaning schedules and work instructions.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• Report maintenance issues, accidents, damages, or health and safety concerns to management.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Lock and secure premises where required.
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Health & Safety

• Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Wear appropriate PPE when required.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Report incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly.

Essential
