Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a part-time cleaner to deliver cleaning services at client facilities in and around London. The role involves floor cleaning in reception areas, dust and damp moping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass doors and stainless-steel fixtures.

You will also help with external areas and act as a brand ambassador for ABM. You'll need good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a strong attention to detail with a focus on

• Experience as a cleaner/maintenance in retail or similar environment preferable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors in reception areas including dust and damp moping, sweeping and vacuuming.
• Spot clean glass doors/windows and stainless-steel fixtures.
• Maintain external areas and car parks as required.
• Be a helpful contact for customers needing assistance.
• Report health and safety issues to management.
• Ensure cleaning/maintenance checks and site compliances are followed.

LOCATION: London, E14 5HS

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday - Friday - 18:00 - 23:00, 25 hours per week

PAY RATE: £14.80 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Your role will be to deliver cleaning services to client facilities in and around the building to a high

standard. Cleaning floors in building reception areas, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping,

vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass doors/windows, clean

all stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, dry mop black marble pillars inside and

external.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• General cleaning and some landscape duties on an external environment, road, and car parks
• Your duties will involve being a helpful point of contact for customers who need assistance
• Being watchful for health and safety issues and to report them to the management team
• Ensuring that the cleaning/maintenance checks & site-specific compliances are adhered to
• Keeping the site safe, clean & welcoming towards our client & customers
• Being an excellent ABM brand ambassador

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Cleaner/Maintenance service experience within the retail or similar environment (preferable)
• Good inter-personal and communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritise tasks
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Approachable and courteous manner
• An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate building
• Excellent attention to detail within cleaning/maintenance responsibilities
• The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business
