Job summary

ABM is seeking experienced cleaning operatives for the night shift at our Bournemouth site. You will perform cleaning duties across washrooms, floors, kitchens, and common areas, adhering to ABM standards and safety protocols. Uniform provided and must be worn at all times.

Background checks will be conducted as part of recruitment. Candidates should have good communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to work well in a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Must pass background verification and security checks prior to start date
• Previous cleaning experience preferred
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Washrooms / Toilet / Showers; maintain standards and top up consumables
• Hard floor cleaning; spot cleaning; clean spillages
• Carpet spot cleaning / vacuuming
• Clean Kitchenettes / seating areas / restaurant tables and floors; waste removal
• Reception / lifts / entrance doors / general maintenance of standards
• Dusting; maintain standards in corridors, stairs, meeting rooms and offices
• Touch point cleaning
• Laundry duties as required
• Scrub hard floors with rotary machine or scrubber dryer
• Carpet cleaning with carpet machine
• Smart clean appearance; team or solo work
• Proactive can-do attitude to work

LOCATION: Chaseside, Bournemouth, BH7 7DA

SHIFT PATTERN: 21:00 - 06:00, 40 hours per week

PAY RATE: £13.76 PER HOUR

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Experienced cleaning operatives with great attention to details required. ABM uniform will be provided and must be worn at all times. To carry out cleaning duties as directed by the night manager or supervisor

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Washrooms / Toilet / Showers / maintaining standards topping up consumables
• Hard floor Cleaning / Spot cleaning / cleaning spillages
• Carpet spot cleaning/ vacuuming
• Cleaning Kitchenettes / Seating areas / Restaurant tables and floors / Waste removal maintaining standards
• Reception / lifts / entrance doors / general maintaining standards
• Dusting, maintaining the standards in all common areas ie; corridors / stairs / meeting rooms / offices
• Touch Point Cleaning
• Laundry duties as required
• Scrubbing hard floors using a rotary machine or scrubber dryer
• Carpet cleaning using carpet machine
• Previous cleaning experience preferred
• Good communication skills both verbal, written on on use of a radio is required
• Smart Clean Appearance
• Can work as part of a team as well as working alone
• A proactive/can do attitude to work.

ESSENTIAL:

• Candidates must be punctual, trustworthy and have a good eye for detail.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• As part of the recurityment vetting process for our client site all successful candidates will be required to complete a background veritication and undergo security checks, including criminal/credit checks prior to start date. (This process will be explained in more detail at interview stage).

• Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
