Job summary

First Call Contract Services is seeking a Field Manager to oversee cleaning standards across commercial sites in Southampton/Portsmouth. You will audit performance, coordinate daily work, and support frontline teams to ensure excellent service.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a full driving licence. Hours are Mon-Fri, 9:00–17:00, with a pay of £13.94 per hour. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning, cleaning supervision, facilities or similar operational environment.
• Experience supervising or managing staff.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Full, clean driving licence - essential.

They are currently looking for a Field Manager to join their operations team and help ensure high standards of service are consistently maintained across their client sites.

The Role

As a Field Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring cleaning standards across commercial sites, supporting frontline cleaning teams and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

• Monitoring cleaning standards across commercial sites
• Carrying out regular audits and inspections of services and staff performance
• Coordinating with operations staff to prioritise daily work
• Supporting cleaning teams to deliver an excellent frontline service
• Responding to customer requests, resolving issues and correcting service errors
• Monitoring cleaning contracts and reporting to the relevant manager
• Ensuring services are delivered in line with relevant Health & Safety and statutory requirements
• Providing and facilitating training to ensure staff have the appropriate skills
• Covering cleaning duties when staff are absent or on holiday
• Completing required administration accurately and within deadlines
• Maintaining company equipment and supplies
• Ensuring the company vehicle is kept clean, stocked and maintained, including completing regular vehicle checks
• Building positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and cleaning staff
• Proactively identifying and addressing potential service issues

About You

The successful candidate will be a practical, proactive and approachable individual with strong communication and leadership skills.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience within commercial cleaning, cleaning supervision, facilities or a similar operational environment
• Experience supervising or managing staff
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good leadership and time-management skills
• The ability to prioritise workload and work independently
