Job summary

First Call Contract Services in the Southampton/Portsmouth area is seeking a Field Manager for commercial cleaning to oversee standards across client sites and lead frontline teams.

The role will involve auditing cleanliness, coordinating with operations, training staff, and ensuring health and safety compliance while maintaining strong client relations. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, with an ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within commercial cleaning, cleaning supervision, facilities or similar operational environments.
• Experience supervising or managing staff.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good leadership and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• A proactive approach to resolving problems and service issues.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A full, clean driving licence - essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring cleaning standards across commercial sites
• Carrying out regular audits and inspections of services and staff performance
• Coordinating with operations staff to prioritise daily work
• Supporting cleaning teams to deliver an excellent frontline service
• Responding to customer requests, resolving issues and correcting service errors
• Monitoring cleaning contracts and reporting to the relevant manager
• Ensuring services are delivered in line with Health & Safety and statutory requirements
• Providing and facilitating training to ensure staff have the appropriate skills
• Covering cleaning duties when staff are absent or on holiday
• Completing required administration accurately and within deadlines
• Maintaining company equipment and supplies
• Ensuring the company vehicle is kept clean, stocked and maintained, including completing regular vehicle checks
• Building positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and cleaning staff
• Proactively identifying and addressing potential service issues
