Job summary

The Staffing Network Ltd in Portsmouth is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to monitor commercial cleaning sites, coordinate with operations, ensure health and safety compliance, and train staff. The role runs Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with a pay rate of £13.94 per hour.

Job description

• Monitor commercial cleaning sites through regular inspections, audits and hands‑on support to ensure agreed standards are consistently achieved.
• Coordinate with operations colleagues to prioritise and deliver the daily work plan.
• Ensure services comply with health and safety requirements, company procedures and current legislation.
• Train, coach and support cleaning staff so they have the skills and guidance required to perform effectively.
• Monitor cleaning contracts and staff performance, reporting issues to the appropriate manager.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client requests, service changes and concerns, taking corrective action where needed.
• Provide cleaning cover during staff absence or annual leave when required.
• Complete operational records and administration accurately and on time.
• Keep the company vehicle clean, appropriately stocked and subject to weekly checks.
• Build positive, professional relationships with clients, colleagues and site‑based teams.
• Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
• £13.94 an hour
