Job summary

Candidate Source is recruiting on behalf of Gloucestershire's largest comprehensive school for a Cleaning Assistant & Key Holder working 27.5 hours per week.

You will provide cleaning across the school, support the sports centre with events, and cover the duty manager role when needed. You will also maintain cleanliness, follow safety guidelines, and work to allocated area standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as cleaner or housekeeper in a school or similar facility.
• High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• COSHH awareness and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient cleaning across the school.
• Support sports centre with lettings / activity set ups and internal and external events set ups within the school.
• Provide cover for the Sports Centre Duty Manager, in their absence oversee the running of the Sports Centre and opening and closing of the facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the site and fitness suite, including litter picking and emptying of bins.
• Carry out cleaning duties in any area allocated by the Supervisor to the required standard and within the allocated time (allocated areas are subject to change as required).
• Clean all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings, by appropriate method, within the designated area of work (apart from any technical equipment).
• Clean all hard and soft floor surfaces within the designated area by the appropriate method and using machinery where necessary.
• Check that windows are closed, and lights turned off before leaving the area.
• Ensure materials and equipment are used in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure that all equipment used is cleaned before returning to the stores.
• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times whilst on the premises and to take reasonable care to safeguard your own safety and that of others with whom you work.

Gloucestershire's largest comprehensive school with over 200 staff and approximately 1,800 students is seeking a Cleaning Assistant & Key Holder to join its team working 27.5 hours per week.

Working hours:

All shifts or combinations of shifts available (please state in your application).

• Monday 4:30pm - 10:30pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
• Tuesday 4:30 - 10:30pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
• Wednesday 4:30 - 10:30pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
• Thursday 4:30 - 10:30pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
• Friday 4:00 - 10:00pm (30 minutes unpaid break)

As the Cleaning Assistant & Key Holder you will:

• Have experience working as a cleaner, housekeeper or similar cleaning role.
