Job summary

The Active Learning Trust is seeking reliable Cleaners to join Cromwell Community College, Chatteris, to maintain clean and safe spaces across classrooms and shared areas.

Role is permanent, part-time (12.5 hours/week) during school term-time plus 5 training days and 30 extra hours during closure periods. Working pattern is Monday to Friday 15:30-18:00, with ALT Grade B salary £7,805.90 - £7,866.40 Annually Actual.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across the academy, including classrooms, toilets and communal areas, maintaining high standards throughout
• Prepare rooms and workspaces for teaching, meetings and other activities
• Restock cleaning supplies and report low stock or equipment faults promptly
• Follow health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and ensuring safe use and storage of cleaning materials
• Work collaboratively with the site team, completing tasks within agreed timescales and maintaining a safe, secure environment

We are looking for reliable and committed Cleaners to join the team at Cromwell Community College, playing a vital role in creating an environment where pupils and staff can thrive. This is a permanent position offered on a part-time basis, working during school term-time and the 5 staff training days throughout the academic year. The post holder's will also be required to work 30 additional hours throughout school closure periods, as determined by line manager.
