Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to work in a warehouse environment. Duties include cleaning all areas, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate equipment and products, and keeping equipment in safe, good condition.

You will respond to call-outs, comply with health and safety policies, and manage waste disposal. Full training is provided and a Basic Disclosure Check may be required. Shift is 7am–7pm, 4on/4off, with 11 hours per day.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required as full training is provided.
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment and follow health and safety policies.
• Basic Disclosure check may be required; drug/alcohol screening test may be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all warehouse areas including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and products.
• Ensure equipment is clean, well maintained and safe.
• React to client call-outs and follow health and safety legislation.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 / hour

Hours: 11 hours/ day (1 hour unpaid break)

Shift Pattern: 7am to 7pm, 4on / 4off

Contract: Fixed Term 6 months

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
