Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning team. You will perform cleaning tasks across all areas, using appropriate equipment and products, while ensuring safety and hygiene.

Hours are 35 per week, on a 6 am to 2 pm pattern, four days on and two days off. This permanent role offers training, a Basic Disclosure Check, and potential drug and alcohol screening as part of our safety policy.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Flexible to work early shift and weekend rotas as described.
• Must pass Basic Disclosure Check and may undergo drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and tidying of all warehouse areas, including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials and products to maintain hygiene.
• Keep equipment clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
• React quickly to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Manage waste disposal in accordance with procedures.

Salary: £13.38 per hour

Hours: 35 hrs per week

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
