Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning team. You will clean and tidy all areas, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate equipment and products, while ensuring safety and maintenance of all gear.

You will respond to client call-outs, comply with Health & Safety policies, and manage waste disposal as part of the team. Full training is provided; some roles may require a Basic Disclosure Check and possible drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all areas within the warehouse, including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials and products and keep equipment clean and safe.
• React quickly to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
• Manage waste disposal as part of the cleaning and waste team.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 / hour

Hours: 8 hours/ day

Shift Pattern: 0600-1400 4 on 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
