Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative for a warehouse environment. No experience is required as full training will be provided. You will clean and tidy all areas, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate equipment and products, and ensure safety and cleanliness.

You will be reliable, a team player, and able to respond to client call-outs while following Health & Safety guidelines. A Basic Disclosure Check may be required, with potential drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and tidying of warehouse areas including washrooms and canteens.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and products.
• Ensure equipment is clean and safe; maintain it in good order.
• React quickly to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Manage waste disposal.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 hour

Hours: 8 hours day 35 hours week

Shift Pattern: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 4 on 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
