Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to work in a warehouse environment as part of the cleaning and waste team.

Duties include cleaning and tidying all warehouse areas, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products, and keeping equipment in safe working order. You will react quickly to client call-outs, comply with Health & Safety policies, and manage waste disposal.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training will be provided.
• Basic Disclosure Check may be required.
• Drug and alcohol screening test may be required.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and tidying of all warehouse areas including washrooms and canteens.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials and products; keep equipment clean and well maintained.
• React quickly to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
• Manage waste disposal as part of the cleaning/waste team.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 / hour

Hours: 8 hours/ day

Shift Pattern: 4 pm to 12 am, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
