Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative in Liverpool to join our cleaning and waste team within a warehouse environment. You will perform general cleaning, tidying and waste disposal, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products, while ensuring all gear is maintained and safe to operate.

No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. A Basic Disclosure Check may be required, and you may undergo drug and alcohol screening; support will be given

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and tidying of warehouse areas including washrooms and canteens.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and products to keep areas clean.
• Ensure equipment is clean, maintained and safe to use.
• Respond to client call-outs and follow Health & Safety policies.
• Manage waste disposal as required.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 hour

Hours: 8 hours/ day 35 hours/ week

Shift Pattern: 2 pm, to 10 pm 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
