Job summary

Kirk Hallam Community Academy is seeking a part-time Cleaner to work in a busy school environment after the school day. You will contribute to a clean and safe learning space by carrying out a range of cleaning duties in classrooms and facilities.

The role is term-time only (39 weeks), with shifts from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. The post is permanent and subject to an enhanced DBS check. The position is aligned with school term dates and responsibilities.

• General cleaning duties such as vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, emptying bins, wiping of furniture and occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery.

Salary: Scale 1, Point 3 (£8,916 actual per year, £13.28 per hour)
Contract: Permanent, part time (15 hours per week) term time only
Closing Date: Monday 2nd November 2026 at 8am

Our cleaners work as part of a team in a busy school environment at the end of the school day, undertaking general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, emptying bins, wiping of furniture and occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery.

The role is term-time only (39 weeks) following our school term dates pattern. The start time is 3.30pm and end time 6.30pm.
