Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Site-Based Cleaning Operative for Rochdale probation unit. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards across the site, contributing to health, hygiene, and resident comfort at Rochdale OL16 2AU. The role involves close collaboration with security and staff, with full training provided and an emphasis on safety and approachable service.

Hours are 15 per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00–10:00. The pay rate is £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but full training is provided.
Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
Must be over 18 and have Valid ID.

Responsibilities

Focus on the details and complete scheduled cleaning tasks.
Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas as instructed by supervisor.
Clean kitchens, toilets and communal areas to presentable standards.
Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps.
Work with the security team, report faults or hazards, and help maintain cleanliness of their areas.
Maintain an approachable attitude.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Rochdale probation Unit 20 Chichester St, Rochdale OL16 2AU

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you’ll do:

Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
You’ll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards.. whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too!
This role requires you to have an approachable attitude

What you bring:

Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
