Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Site-Based Cleaning Operative at Rochdale probation Unit 20 Chichester St, Rochdale OL16 2AU. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across the site, supporting health and wellbeing for residents and staff.

The role involves detailed cleaning tasks, deep cleaning as needed, and coordinating with security to keep areas safe and presentable. Training provided to meet health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable but full training will be provided.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are expected.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas to required standards.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning as directed by supervisor.
• Replenish consumables (toilet tissue, hand soap) across areas.
• Ensure kitchens and toilets are clean and presentable.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Rochdale probation Unit 20 Chichester St, Rochdale OL16 2AU

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community.This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you'll do:

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, communal areas are cleaned and are presentable
• Replenishing stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
• You'll work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards..whilst also helping maintain the cleanliness of theirareas too!
• This role requires you to have an approachableattitude

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
• Be a team player and take instruction
