Job summary

Robertson Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated cleaning operative for our site in Ingleby Barwick, UK. You will clean and disinfect surfaces daily, dust and mop floors, and manage waste while maintaining Health & Safety compliance. A DBS check is required before starting.

The successful candidate will be friendly, professional and able to communicate with clients and management. We offer competitive hourly pay and a values-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Good working level of spoken and written English to communicate with clients and management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety best practices.
• Awareness of COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect surfaces and floors daily.
• Dust, vacuum and mop general flooring throughout the site.
• Carry out regular clearance of waste bins as required.
• Perform planned and ad-hoc cleaning duties across the building and equipment.
• Ensure facilities and services operate in compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
• Report accidents and incidents as appropriate.

Job duties and requirements

• Cleaning and disinfect every day all work surfaces and floors and paintwork in the designated areas
• Dusting, vacuuming and mopping general flooring throughout the site
• To carry out regular clearance of waste bins as required within the designated working areas.
• Carrying out planned and ad-hoc cleaning duties within the building and to equipment located throughout the site
• Ensuring that the facilities and services operate in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and procedures
• Reporting all accidents and incidents as appropriate
• General experience of cleaning
• Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly
• Knowledge of Health & Safety best practises
• Awareness of COSHH regulations
• Takes initiative and works reliably
• Candidates need a good working level of spoken and written English to carry out cleaning duties safely and to communicate with clients and the management team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
