Job summary

Sodexo in Bury is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join a friendly team and help keep the site clean, safe and welcoming. This role fits around other commitments and offers predictable hours.

Shifts are 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–11:00, at £12.71 per hour. You will follow COSHH and PPE procedures, restock supplies, and report hazards to the Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
• Understanding of confidentiality and working in line with relevant data protection and security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards at all times.
• Willingness to complete any training required for the role, including first aid and security awareness, and BPSS checks.

Responsibilities

• Keep our site looking its best by completing scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the site.
• Keep essential supplies topped up, including toilet roll, blue roll, hand soap, sanitiser and hand wipes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including COSHH, infection control, security requirements and the correct use of PPE.
• Work safely and responsibly, reporting any hazards, safety concerns, faulty equipment or other issues to your Line Manager.
• Have a flexible approach to your role, supporting other areas of the site and providing cover for holidays and absence when required.
