Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our team in Bury. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices and toilets, while prioritising safety and presentation.

The role requires attention to detail, reliable and proactive work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Training including BPSS security checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role is preferred.
• Good communication both verbally and in writing.
• Reliable and proactive with ability to work independently while supporting team.
• Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
• Willingness to complete required training including BPSS security checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the site.
• Keep essential supplies topped up and stocked.
• Follow health and safety procedures, COSHH, infection control and PPE usage.
• Report hazards or faulty equipment to the Line Manager.
• Provide cover for holidays or absence when required.

You’ll play an important role inmaintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, working as part of asupportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride intheir work, has a great eye for detail and is looking for a reliable part-timerole.

What you’ll do:

• Keep our site looking its best by completing scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the site.
• Keep essential supplies topped up, including toilet roll, blue roll, hand soap, sanitiser and hand wipes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including COSHH, infection control, security requirements and the correct use of PPE.
• Work safely and responsibly, reporting any hazards, safety concerns, faulty equipment or other issues to your Line Manager.
• Have a flexible approach to your role, supporting other areas of the site and providing cover for holidays and absence when required.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working in line with relevant data protection and security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards at all times.
• Willingness to complete any training required for the role, including first aid and security awareness, and to successfully complete the required BPSS security checks.
