Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team in Winchester on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 11:00–19:00. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for clients and colleagues, with a focus on attention to detail and teamwork.

You’ll be trained to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, with duties including bed-making in accommodation areas and reporting any issues promptly. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely.
Military environment experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Maintain high standards of cleanliness across offices, bathrooms and accommodation areas.
Use cleaning equipment, materials, chemicals and PPE safely and correctly.
Complete all required training on time and attend team briefings and Reviews.
Maintain a clean and tidy work area and report accidents or faulty equipment.
Build positive relationships with clients, customers and colleagues and carry out duties as directed by management.

What you'll do:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness across offices, bathrooms, toilets, auditoriums, conference rooms and accommodation areas, including making beds, in line with cleaning schedules.
Use cleaning equipment, materials, chemicals and PPE safely and correctly, following instructions and completing tasks only when trained and confident.
Complete all required training on time, develop skills and knowledge, and attend team briefings, meetings and performance reviews as required.
Maintain a clean and tidy work area, uphold excellent personal hygiene, care for equipment and supplies, and report accidents, near misses or faulty equipment to management.
Build positive relationships with clients, customers and colleagues, communicate effectively with the team and line manager, and carry out other reasonable duties as directed by management.
