Job summary

Serco Leisure is recruiting on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT) for a part-time Cleaner at Bletchley Leisure Centre. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming environment to support healthy community activities.

Hours are 10 per week with shifts Mon/Wed/Thu 4.30pm–6.30pm, Sat 8.30am–10.30am, Sun 9.30am–11.30am. Hourly rate is £12.71, with benefits including gym access, DBS checks, and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building at all times.
• Carry out cleaning duties safely following health and safety procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete required checklists.
• Report cleaning issues or maintenance concerns to the manager.
• Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment as needed.
• Inspect and safely use cleaning equipment and store properly.

As a Cleaner, you'll help create a welcoming environment where people can enjoy leisure activities safely and comfortably. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of local communities by maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, helping visitors and employees feel confident, cared for, and proud of the spaces they use.

What You’ll Do As a Cleaner

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building at all times
• Carry out cleaning duties safely, following all health and safety procedures and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete all required checklists accurately
• Report any cleaning issues, maintenance concerns, or areas requiring attention to the appropriate manager
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and notify the line manager when replenishment is needed
• Inspect, use, clean, and store cleaning equipment safely, while contributing to good housekeeping and sustainability practices
