Job summary

PSS Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Festival Leisure Park in Basildon. You will deliver on-site cleaning to strict standards, following safety guidelines, and work as part of a team to cover schedules.

The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a professional appearance. Full training is provided, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning to required specifications and safety guidelines.
• Clean designated areas according to schedule and supervisor directions.
• Keep cleaning cupboards tidy and stocked.
• Report hazards or issues to the supervisor.
• Provide clear handovers to colleagues and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.

Job description

• Festival Leisure Park, Basildon - External shopping centre
• Thursday 13-17, Friday 13-17, Saturday 13-20, Sunday 07-12
• 20 Hours in total per week
• overtime available for covering site holidays/sickness
• £13.45 per hour

PSS group are a nationwide Soft Facilities Services provider, who work with some of the biggest names in retail, entertainment, facilities management and more.

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly

Ideal Candidate:

• Ability to follow instructions

• Willingness to learn

• Experience preferred but full training provided
