Job summary

Layton Primary School is seeking a dedicated teacher with Qualified Teacher Status to join our collaborative team in delivering high-quality lessons across primary ages. You will plan and assess, contribute to safeguarding, and support pupils’ progress in line with the National Curriculum.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher status with degree and/or relevant qualifications.
• Evidence of recent professional development in teaching and supporting the curriculum.
• Recent experience of teaching in primary school or teacher training school.
• Thorough working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Knowledge of strategies to raise pupil attainment.
• Ability to assess and report on pupil development and attainment.
• Awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace.
• Active involvement in recent INSET/training.
• Training in different teaching and learning strategies.
• Knowledge and experience of classroom planning procedures.
• Experience of target setting to raise attainment principles of assessment.
