Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education or youth settings.
• Ability to manage groups of students confidently and independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to obtain a DBS check (Update Service preferred).

Protocol Education is currently recruiting confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools across Wakefield LEA. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas.
• Supervise and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work.
• Foster a positive and productive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or a similar setting.
• Be confident managing groups of students independently.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and professionalism.
• Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
