Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Assistant in Surrey to join a specialist independent day school supporting students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia, and anxiety−related barriers to learning.

You’ll work in a small-class environment, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while making a meaningful impact through tailored support and collaborative teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

  • Need appropriate qualifications and training for the role.
  • Role is temporary with potential for permanence.
  • Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Skills

Experience with SEMH/ASD

Education

GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above)
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or working towards)

You’ll work in a supportive, small‑class environment, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while making a meaningful impact.
