Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Berkeley is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia, and anxiety-related barriers to learning in a specialist independent day school.

You will work in a small-class environment, helping students develop academically, socially and emotionally while making a meaningful impact through tailored supports and collaborative planning with staff.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or working towards).
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience with SEMH and/or ASD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with differentiated learning activities.
  • Support communication, social, and independence skills.
  • Monitor progress and liaise with staff and SEN coordinators.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant in Berkeley to join a specialist independent day school supporting students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia, and anxiety-related barriers to learning.

You’ll work in a supportive, small‑class environment, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor progress and liaise with staff and SEN coordinators

Skills & Qualifications
