Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment seeks a Class 2 refuse driver for a Farnham client. You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle, work with a loading crew, and perform daily safety checks on the route.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00, with the potential to go permanent. Immediate start, weekly pay, and opportunities for overtime are offered.

Qualifications

• 12 months Class 2 experience - essential.
• Class 2 driving licence and UK DCPC/digi-tacho required.
• UK resident, able to travel to site.
• Endorsements: no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN allowed.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
• Collecting refuse from different local areas each day
• Working with a loading crew (handballing)
• Assisting with the manual movement of domestic wheelie bins
• Working safely around pedestrians, traffic, and other road users
• Completing vehicle checks at the start and end of your shift

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Farnham to work with our client, who provide all types of business with commercial waste disposal and recycling. Previous experience working in the waste industry would be beneficial.

About you:

• You will need to be reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
• You must be comfortable working as part of a team and assisting with physical/manual work when required
• You must have good communication skills
• You must have a positive attitude

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
